1 review for Cenote Single Pack

I like that the bladder is clear and not just translucent because I can see how clean it is. It is very inexpensive relative to other brands. I like how the cap is easy to unscrew. Other designs often have too much friction.

There are two things I don’t like about this bladder. The hose is too short by about 5 inches. I have to turn my head completely to the side and pull the nozzle to my mouth in order to drink from it. Secondly, the bite valve doesn’t have very good flow and you must really bite down with your front teeth right over a groove on the bite valve.

The design of the bite valve and the short length of the hose make this bladder very difficult to use when moving on a mountain bike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Cenote is designed to fit all standard hydration sleeves. Double check what fluid capacity your pack was designed for to be sure that it can accommodate a 2 liter or 3 liter reservoir.

Our vision for Cenote was to fill a major gap in the market for a hydration system that was both affordable and high quality.

We focused resources on the components of the system that needed to be premium – like the hose and bite valve. And we cut costs by designing a reservoir made of more affordable materials that, given ordinary use, are as equally durable as competing reservoirs made of more expensive, non-recyclable plastics. The simplified design of the bladder, and less expensive packaging has also helped keep costs down.

Anyone who has ever used a hydration reservoir knows that they are a pain to clean. Often times it’s easier to just replace the reservoir entirely. With traditional systems this can mean a $30 or more investment, and more waste going to a landfill. With Cenote, a replacement reservoir is less than $10, and the reservoir is completely recyclable.

To recycle an old reservoir, simply cut out the hard plastic fitment made of Plastic #4 from the flexible plastic bag made of plastic #2 then toss them into your recycle bin.

As hydration system users ourselves, we know that the bite valve is the most important component of the entire system. So, we worked hard to develop a high flow, 360º degree locking bite valve that was as durable and high quality as the ones used in other leading hydration systems. To use the bite valve, turn the valve perpendicular to the hose, bite down on the red plastic center and suck. Turn the valve parallel to the hose when not in use.

The Cenote Hydration System features a wide mouth opening that is easy to fill and fits most hand-held filtration systems. The threading also fits many water bottle caps – including the Polar Bottle® Sport and Half-Twist® caps.
