      Hello Ian,
We’re sorry you are not 100% satisfied with your bottle.
Unfortunately, a little crumpling on the foil liner (which is a key part of the insulation) is unavoidable. We like to think of it as proof that these bottles were made by real people! However, we do our best to avoid too much crumbling, and have strict QC controls to catch bad looking bottles. It sounds like this item somehow slipped through. We would like to replace it for you! If you are interested please shoot me an email:
Our bottles keep water cold twice as long as a standard bottle and sweat less than other bottles but can still sweat sometimes.
Thanks again for your feedback and hope to hear from you soon!

We purchased 2 bottles years ago and were very pleased with them. So needing a couple more we never hesitated on what to buy, just the design this time!
Great product, does what its designed for.

It’s simple, the bottle is higher quality and you know it when you use it. They last for years instead of a season.

I got 2 of these bottles to kick start my road bike season and love them. The flag design is just sweet, because AMERICA. After filling them with a combo of ice and water, they stayed cold for about 1.5 hours in direct exposure to Houston’s “feels-like” temperature of 103 F. Can’t ask for much more out of a bottle, plus the new Zipstream lid is the way to go. Don’t hesitate to get you some!

The bottle is lightweight and looks good. It is also easy to squeeze and it doesn’t leak. I can’t ask for more!

In truth, I have not used the two California flag bottles I ordered. I have two cousins coming to visit me from Upstate New York. I thought, as we are planning a few bike rides, they would make a nice souvenir/present. My love for polar bottles goes back many, many moons. I took one with me on my two-month-long bike tour of Europe in the summer of 2016. These new ones could only have improved.

I bought 2 of these (20oz) for cycling. Previously I was using Camelbak Podiums but they don’t have a good fit in bottle cages – the water bottles lack a groove (the small one it does have is too high) for the tab of the bottle cages to fit in and the bottles run too wide as well. I would highly recommend these for cycling because the groove is in the correct location (lower and more pronounced) making it a MUCH better fit in bike cage. For reference I use Elite Custom Race bottle cages. I’ve used them for CX races and haven’t lost a bottle

My first Polar Bottle accompanied me as a Police Officer on Bike Patrol in Las Vegas in 1996. We all had these bottles and it kept our water ice-cold for a hot 10 hour shift in 100 degree+ weather. I recently purchased a Flag Polar bottle and it is just as efficient as it was 22 years ago. Thanks Polar Bottle!

My first Polar Bottle experience was 1996. I was a Police Officer in Las Vegas on Bike Patrol and we all had these Polar Bottles on our bikes that kept our water cold for a 10 hour shift. Amazing then and amazing now. I still have the bottle! I recently bought a new Flag Bottle and have enjoyed the same quality after 22 years!

I”ve had a couple of Polar bottles for a few years. Awesome craftsmanship, quality, and a lifetime warranty that others don’t offer! I bought the USA flag bottles for my son and son-in-law who are both active military. My son just joined so I figured his Polar bottle will be able to handle being out in the field with him. My son-in-law has been in for a while, and while he’s not serving, he loves to outdoors. Couldn’t think of a nicer, more practical gift for Christmas! USA Strong!!! Thank you!!!

I’ve been using Polar Bottles for years and I love ’em; they are my go to water bottles for workouts, post run hydration and just all day hydration. After a long run I always have a Polar Bottle with my electrolyte mix in my car for my post run hydration. I always chill my mix overnight and pour it in my Polar Bottle in the morning. It stays cold and it’s great after a long run. Finally, thanks for the free cap replacement. I got to keep my favorite Polar Bottle even after the original cap wore out. You guys rock!

Frequently Asked Questions

The Polar Bottle Sport is manufactured in our Boulder, CO headquarters with parts sourced from Denver, CO and Garden City, MO.

Polar Bottle products are made from PP, LDPE, HDPE, and Tritan™ plastics, which are free of harmful chemicals like BPA and Phthalates. To the furthest extent of current scientific knowledge, none of these plastics contain harmful chemicals that may leach into the liquid contained in the bottle. The well-being of our customers is of the highest priority to our company and plastic safety is an issue we take very seriously.

Polar Bottle water bottles have always been BPA and Phthalate Free.

Yes, the Polar Bottle sport is dishwasher and freezer safe.

Our thermal testing has found that, the Polar Bottle Sport will easily keep your drink cold more than twice as long as a standard single-wall, uninsulated bottle.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of the bottle, we recommend pre-freezing the water in a Polar Bottle before use. Fill your bottle halfway full with water and freeze overnight. The giant ice cube that results will keep your drink chilly for hours (do not fill the bottle more than half way before freezing, as the water must have room to expand as it freezes).

We have designed our products to be reusable and incredibly durable. Many of our customers are still happily using bottles they purchased in the mid-‘90s, when the Polar Bottle Sport was originally released. This is not an uncommon feat. However, when you decide it’s time to retire your Polar Bottle water bottle, they are completely recyclable. To recycle the bottle, simply separate the outer plastic bottle, foil liner and inner plastic bottle and recycle them separately. Or, if you prefer, send in your old bottle back to our warehouse and we would be happy to recycle it for you!

The bottle is also made in America from locally sourced parts. This allows us to minimize shipping costs and the environmental impact that goes along with them. The fact that our entire operation – from sales to production to shipping – takes place under one roof further reduces overhead, energy use, and environmental strain.

The 24oz and 20oz fit in standard bike cages. We suggest measuring your frame to determine which size fits best with your bike. The 20oz often works better on smaller frames. The 12oz Sport may fit a child-sized bike cage, but is too small for most adults.
