1 review for Tie Dye Bottles

  1. Jessica L. (verified owner)

At the beginning of the school year, I was struggling to find a water bottle that I could send to school in the kids’ backpacks that would not leak. We had several different types and everyone of them would leak when put to the back pack test. I went through ‘the cabinet’ (you know, the one filled with water bottles from everywhere) and recycled what I could when I found our 24 oz polar bottles from baseball season. I screwed the lid on tight, flipped it upside down and gave it a good shake. I tilted it sideways and did the same. Not a drop fell out. I knew that I needed to get a smaller version for school so I went to the website. I have two kids, I wanted 20 oz and I wanted them to be fun. I stumbled upon the 20oz Tie Dye bottles. The colors are more muted than pictured but I was already familiar with Polar Bottle so that wasn’t an issue. The two designs are quite fun and we can easily distinguish which bottle belongs to which kid. We bought the zip stream caps specifically for sports and my kids use the regular sport caps for school (my youngest has a tendency to chew on the caps but she knows that if she does, the shipping cost to replace the lid will be coming from her piggy bank). Biggest thing, NO LEAKING! Thanks, Polar Bottle for filling that void!

Frequently Asked Questions

The Polar Bottle Sport is manufactured in our Boulder, CO headquarters with parts sourced from Denver, CO and Garden City, MO.

Polar Bottle products are made from PP, LDPE, HDPE, and Tritan™ plastics, which are free of harmful chemicals like BPA and Phthalates. To the furthest extent of current scientific knowledge, none of these plastics contain harmful chemicals that may leach into the liquid contained in the bottle. The well-being of our customers is of the highest priority to our company and plastic safety is an issue we take very seriously.

Polar Bottle water bottles have always been BPA and Phthalate Free.

Yes, the Polar Bottle sport is dishwasher and freezer safe.

Our thermal testing has found that, the Polar Bottle Sport will easily keep your drink cold more than twice as long as a standard single-wall, uninsulated bottle.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of the bottle, we recommend pre-freezing the water in a Polar Bottle before use. Fill your bottle halfway full with water and freeze overnight. The giant ice cube that results will keep your drink chilly for hours (do not fill the bottle more than half way before freezing, as the water must have room to expand as it freezes).

We have designed our products to be reusable and incredibly durable. Many of our customers are still happily using bottles they purchased in the mid-‘90s, when the Polar Bottle Sport was originally released. This is not an uncommon feat. However, when you decide it’s time to retire your Polar Bottle water bottle, they are completely recyclable. To recycle the bottle, simply separate the outer plastic bottle, foil liner and inner plastic bottle and recycle them separately. Or, if you prefer, send in your old bottle back to our warehouse and we would be happy to recycle it for you!

The bottle is also made in America from locally sourced parts. This allows us to minimize shipping costs and the environmental impact that goes along with them. The fact that our entire operation – from sales to production to shipping – takes place under one roof further reduces overhead, energy use, and environmental strain.

The 24oz and 20oz fit in standard bike cages. We suggest measuring your frame to determine which size fits best with your bike. The 20oz often works better on smaller frames. The 12oz Sport may fit a child-sized bike cage, but is too small for most adults.
