To honor Veterans Day this year, we wanted to do something that directly benefits the men and women who served for the United States. We connected with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a national nonprofit that provides injured veterans with free recovery programs and services, to organize a month-long fundraiser to support their work.
For every USA Flag and State Flag bottle sold on our website during November, Polar Bottle will make a donation to support the WWP’s numerous free programs and services for veterans, caregivers, and their families
As you probably know, we’ve been manufacturing our water bottles in Boulder, Colorado since 1994. We’ve kept our operations stateside – with parts sourced from fellow US manufacturers – in large part to support American workers. As our sales director, Phil Bash explained, supporting veterans was a natural extension of this commitment.
“We are proud to sell a product that directly supports American workers and their families,” Bash said. “With this campaign we can take this a step further — because in the end, no one has worked harder for this country than veterans and their family members.”
According to the Wounded Warriors Project, more than 52,000 servicemen and women have been injured in recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with invisible wounds of war, including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
By addressing the physical, mental and long term financial well-being of veterans, WWP aims to reverse this unfortunate legacy and foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in US history.
