Every day, the Polar Bottle customer service team sends out dozens of replacement water bottle caps to customers across the United States. Last year alone, we sent out about 15,000 caps.
We offer this service because our bottles are built to withstand years of use, and we want them to live up to that. So rather than have customers waste their old bottle and order a brand new one just because of a lost or broken cap, we currently swallow some costs and replace it for free.
Our cap replacement program is just one of the initiatives Polar Bottle has taken to reduce the environmental impact of our products.
We manufacture our plastic bottles in the United States with American made components to eliminate the environmental strain caused by shipping long distances. Even the cardboard used for packaging is sourced domestically.
Finally, all of our plastic Polar Bottle products are recyclable. While we expect our customers to use their bottle for years, we are comforted to know that when it is time to retire a Polar Bottle Sport or Ergo, it can be disposed of responsibly. An estimated two million tons of single-use plastic bottles end up in landfills every year. We don’t want any of our bottles to be among them.
This Earth Day, we challenge you to do your part to preserve the environment. An easy and effective way of doing this is to reduce the unnecessary waste and environmental strain from bottled water by investing in a reusable water bottle — preferably one made right here in the United States.
