His grandfather, and a sail boat named Broad, inspired Mitch London to seek out a lifetime of adventures. Now, through his photography and outreach work, he hopes to encourage more people to do the same.
My sense of adventure came from my grandfather. He lived on a one-of-a-kind sail boat named the Broad for it’s unusually wide beam (12ft) She was 32′ long and took him around the world twice. Many many stories and tales growing up, including times when he was boarded by pirates. He would send me dollars and coins from each country he visited along his travels. His stories gave me all the wonder in the world, not to mention the trump card when it came to coolest grandpa stories. I had the opportunity to sail with him for three weeks, island hoping through the Bahamas. Needles to say the “adventure seed” was planted deep.
Since then, I have spent as much time in nature as possible. Seeking solitude in nature has always been my driving force. Finding those hidden gems and sharing them through my photography is what keeps me going. When I’m not out hitting the trail and exploring the beauty Colorado has to offer, I am building my own business (Social Bear and Rewards4Locals) with the goal to help inspire more outdoor recreation in smaller communities across the state.
I am also a die hard Nuggets and Broncos fan, husband to my wonderful wife, Shelby, and father to four amazing children and one adventure pup!
“My two favorites right now are the Thermaluxe and Cenote Hydration! The Thermaluxe allows those of us who get distracted easily to enjoy a hot beverage Looong after you fill it up! It seriously keeps it warm for hours and hours! With the Cenote water flows so smoothly without a battle and doesn’t leak all over either! I’m so happy with them!”
