74% of US consumers say knowing a water bottle is Made in the USA is important to them according to consumer research by national firm Research Insights on behalf of US insulated water bottle brand, Polar Bottle. “We were pleasantly surprised by how many US consumers care about where their water bottle is made,” says Judy Amabile Polar Bottle President. “Being Made in the USA was right up there with other qualities we already knew were vital for water bottle consumers like being insulated, BPA free and dishwasher safe. Luckily for us, we’ve never considered making Polar Bottle anywhere else”.
Amabile will be sharing more of her thoughts on the advantages and challenges of manufacturing in the USA as one of four speakers featured at the OIA “Made in America” panel session. The panel will be held on Day 2 of OR (August 7) in the New Product Zone of the Salt Palace at 2pm and will be followed by a raffle of US made outdoor products. OIA is reinforcing the Made in America theme at Outdoor Retailer by also hosting a meeting of its Made in America Working Group and presenting a Made in America Product Showcase that features a Polar Bottle “Star Spangled” bottle design (pictured).
Polar Bottle has been making insulated water bottles in Boulder, Colorado for the outdoor and sports markets since 1994 and has a strong presence in specialty, sports and general retailers across the US and in 42 countries worldwide (including China).
