Goal 1: To make a product that has a positive, long-term, impact on the lives of our customers and the health of our planet.
Goal 2: To strengthen the U.S. economy by keeping manufacturing jobs in our community.
Goal 3: To earn a profit without sacrificing goal one and two.
Socially, we aim to:
Provide a high-quality product and exemplary customer service: We offer a lifetime guarantee on all our products. When our customers call our office they talk to a person. When they email, a person — not a robot — responds to their question.
Give back to our community: We actively support our community and the causes we care about by donating thousands of dollars worth of product every year and by partnering with non-profits and advocacy groups around the country.
Be fair to our employees: We strive to be a company that people want to work for. We do this by creating a comfortable, safe work environment and, above all, adequately compensating our employees by paying them a living wage. *
Be conscious of where we source our materials: We assemble and ship our bottles from our Boulder, Colorado warehouse and source our materials whenever possible from suppliers in the United States*. This helps us ensure that strict federal labor laws and other restrictions were followed in every step of our supply chain.
For the environment we commit to:
Reduce the environmental impact of our company: We consistently review our supply chain, our manufacturing techniques and our general business operations to find ways to reduce our environmental impact.
Prioritize partners that are committed to sustainability: Along with reviewing our own environmental impact, we also consider the sustainability initiatives of our suppliers and prioritize sourcing from local companies with similar environmental and business practices.
Use our success in business to support the organizations and people protecting our planet: We donate thousands of dollars worth of product to environmental groups every year, and as members of numerous bicycling advocacy organizations we support policy changes and other initiatives that reduce car emissions by promoting alternative transportation.
Find ways every day to do better: We are not perfect and are always searching for ways to be more sustainable. If you have suggestions please CONTACT US. We appreciate your input.
*The minimum wage in our home state of Colorado is $7.25. The living wage for an adult living in our community, when including healthcare, is $12. So, our lowest starting wage — pending an initial job performance evaluation — is $12 an hour, regardless of your position. Most employees only stay at that wage for one pay period before they receive a raise of a dollar or more.
* We are actively searching for US suppliers for the small percentage of outsourced materials.
